Using the Map Search [ top of page & help menu]
  1. Click the "Find a home" button on the home page. Then select the Map Search button. This takes you to your first map.

  2. Click on the area you wish to search from the list on the left & click the "Continue" button.
  3. For all areas (except Squamish & Whistler/Pemberton--see note below), you will now be at a map detailing the area you have selected above. Notice at the top of the page you can backtrack to the previous step using the hyperlinked text menu above the map and list.
    NOTE: If you are searching Whistler/Pemberton or Squamish you will go directly to the page where you can input the kind of property you would like (these areas have no sub areas). See step 5 below.
  4. You now have 3 options:
    Search a Single Area:
    Click an area name on the list and click the "Continue" button.
    Search All Areas on List:
    If there is an "Entire Area" check box above the list, you can search every area on the list by simply clicking this button and then clicking the "Continue" button under the list. (The "Entire Area" checkbox appears when you reach the last level of maps in a series).
    Search Multiple Areas of Your Choice:
    Hold down the Control or Option key on a Windows machine or the Command key on a Mac as you click on the areas you wish to search. Then hit the "Continue" button. (Do not click the "Entire Area" box). NOTE: This option is only available when you see the "Entire Area" check box above the list.
  5. You will now be at a screen where you can enter search criteria such as price and property type. Using the pull down menus go through the 5 steps to define your property type. NOTE: Make sure that when setting the Price and the Age range that your maximum value is HIGHER than the minimum value! When you are done, click the "Search Now" button to view your results.
  6. No Results? Check that your maximum values are higher than the minimum values for price and age. Make sure the kind of property type chosen is likely to exist in the areas that you have chosen. Broaden the price and age ranges.

Using the Advanced Search [ top of page & help menu]

  1. Click the "Advanced Search" button on the Property Search page. This takes you to a form-based interface to the property search.

  2. Select the region you wish to search. You can only select one region.
  3. Click the "Continue to Part 2" button.
  4. Select an area. For multiple selections hold down the Control or Option key on a Windows machine or the Command key on the Mac as you click on the areas you wish to search. To search the entire area, click the "Entire Area" box.
  5. Use the pull down menus and text entry fields to define your property type and sorting options. You can enter prices with or without commas. NOTE: Make sure that when setting the Price and the Age range that your maximum value is HIGHER than the minimum value!
  6. When you are done, click the "Search Now" button to view your results.
  7. No Results? Check that your maximum values are higher than the minimum values for price and age. Make sure the kind of property type chosen is likely to exist in the areas that you have chosen. Broaden the price and age ranges.

Using the MLS® Number Search [ top of page & help menu]

  1. Click the "MLS® # Search" button on the Property Search Page.

  2. You will need the MLS® number to use this search. This code is displayed on every property on our site and is also available from your REALTOR®. You may wish to note the MLS® # on properties you are interested in when you go through the Advanced & Map searches.
  3. Enter the 6 digit code and press "Search Now"
  4. The individual property record will be brought up.

Viewing Your Results: Summary List page [ top of page & help menu]

  1. The Summary List displays all the properties that matched your search criteria.The total number of results is at the top & bottom of the page
  2. Navigation: You have 2 choices for navigation. The first is to use the "previous" and "next" buttons at the top and bottom of the page to view your results page by page. The second is to use the pull down menu to select the set of results you wish to view, then click the "go" button to go directly to that set of results.
  3. If you see a property you would like to examine in detail, click the photo or the link to "further property details" above the image.
  4. Click the Mortgage button to calculate what the mortgage options are on this property. The mortgage information will open in a secondary browser window.

Viewing Your Results: Detail Page [ top of page & help menu]

  1. Access this page by clicking the "further property details" link or image off of the Summary List page. You can also go directly to this page by using the MLS® Number search (You will need to have the MLS® Number)
  2. This page has a larger picture and more detailed contact and property information.
  3. Functions on this page include:
    Contact Me Now, a button you can click to contact the REALTOR® using an on screen form.
    Calculate Mortgage, a custom feature that allows you to calculate the cost of your mortgage.
    Tour, clicking this will link you to a REALTOR®'s own web page featuring images of the property--not available on all properties--appears at REALTOR®'s discretion.
