Show some warmth

VANCOUVER, B.C. - With everything going on in the world today, we sometimes forget what's going on right around the corner.

Many men, women and children rely on local shelters and the generosity of others to get through the winter months.

REALTORS® organizing the seventh annual REALTORS® Care Blanket Drive hope to make a difference for the homeless and those in need within their communities by collecting blankets, clean clothing and non-perishables.

From December 3 - 10, more than 60 real estate offices throughout the Lower Mainland will serve as locations for the public to drop off donations for local shelters.

Help make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate by bringing your donations of blankets and clean clothing to the nearest participating real estate office.

REALTORS® will sort and pack all the donated items before personally delivering them to neighbourhood shelters.

This year's organizers hope the generosity of Greater Vancouver residents will help them top last year's donations of a whopping 860 bags.

For more information, call 604-730-3022, or visit www.realtylink.org/blanketdrive or www.fvreb.bc.ca. Someone will be grateful that you shared your warmth.

REALTORS® are active fundraisers and volunteers throughout the year and the Blanket Drive, the largest team effort in the real estate community, is just one example of their extensive community involvement. Through membership in the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, they volunteer their time and energy all year round to improve the social and economic well-being of the communities where they work and live.
