Homes sales in Greater Vancouver are tracked through the housing price index which measures benchmark or typical home prices.

MLSLink© HPI is the latest version of the Board's Housing Price Index (HPI) and is designed to accommodate the MLS upgrade and improve the legacy HPI product. New HPI statistics should not be compared with legacy HPI statistics because revisions reflect material changes to the Board's legacy MLS and HPI systems. These upgrades involved redefining some HPI markets as well as all benchmark properties and price indexes.
